OVERVIEW

ACS Sharjah will be situated on a prime 1.4 million square ft piece of land located on Maliha Road, Sharjah, U.A.E, near the Sharjah University complex - only 10 minutes from Dubai. ACS Sharjah will begin its first phase in September, 2010.

Our state-of-the-art environmentally aware "green" campus drives the conceptual planning for ACS Sharjah. Rather than having the buildings shape (and constrict) the curriculum, ACS Sharjah seeks to have a flexible, interactive curriculum shape its buildings and campus.  The large land space will allow for larger facilities and more space for the children, allowing for a smoother delivery of the curriculum.

ACS Sharjah will offer the American Curriculum from it's opening in September, 2010 and intends to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma.  Complementing this will be our POLARIS Program for Gifted, ESL and Special Needs children.  This program has been set up in response to the increasing demand for gifted and special needs assistance throughout the UAE.  Students will be provided with the resources to nurture their gifts and augment their talents.  At ACS Sharjah, we believe in raising the bridge, rather than lowering the river. 

ACS Sharjah is the only school in the UAE which fully addresses the needs of differentiated learners, allowing for students, who otherwise might not achieve our standards or students who have been held back by those same standards.  Many schools offer mild support programs but no other school in the UAE offers a fully supported gifted children's and special needs program.

ACS Sharjah is seeking accreditation from The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and the International Baccalaureate Organisation.

ACS Sharjah will provide an American-style education for national and international families in the UAE, while fostering a lively and stimulating atmosphere in its learning community.

The faculty sets standards of excellence and integrity in academic and co-curricular areas including the American and International Baccalaureate Programs, preparing students to meet the rigors of university education.
