Dear Parents, Students and Teachers

Welcome to the American Community School of Sharjah (ACS Sharjah)

The decision on where to send your child to school is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.  At ACS Sharjah, we never lose sight of the importance of this decision from the moment you contact our school.

The word "community" says much about who we are and what we stand for.  We believe that success can only be achieved when everyone comes together; students, teachers and parents to create a positive atmosphere of learning, where each stakeholder is encouraged to engage and benefits from gifts each member has to offer.

ACS Sharjah shares a 100 year tradition with our partner school, ACS at Beirut, one of the oldest and most successful international American curriculum schools in the world.  ACS Sharjah follows in the tradition of this renowned school, providing high rigor, while supporting and expecting students to achieve success.  We believe true satisfaction and achievement occurs when a student realizes what they have actively accomplished.

Our 1.4 million square ft campus, the largest of its kind in the MENASA region, is situated on the Sharjah/Dubai border.  It will encompass truly modern facilities that will provide students with a wealth of intellectual and physical resources to develop and strive towards academic, athletic and social excellence.

In September, 2010 our doors will open to students.  The school will eventually be open as a through school to Grade 12.  ACS Sharjah will offer the American Curriculum and intends to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma pending approval from the IBO.

Complementing the American Curriculum will be our POLARIS Program for gifted, ESL and special needs children.

At ACS Sharjah we strive to develop the "whole" child through core-classes, electives, sporting activities and an abundance of extra curricula activities.
